The open-box Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub 500 (10V50000US) is an all-in-one unit with an i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, listed at $259. The key detail: it comes with no operating system, so it suits IT staff and hands-on buyers who are comfortable doing their own setup.
What do you need to know about a ThinkSmart Hub 500 with no OS?
You'll have to supply and install an operating system yourself. Make sure you have a license and installation media ready before it arrives.
- Confirm the power adapter and any cables are included.
- Ask about the condition of the screen and housing, since it's open box.
- 128GB of storage is modest, so plan for light software loads.
