About this item
At $23.99, this mechanical clicky keyboard with custom keys is a cheap way to find out whether you like loud, tactile typing before you spend more on a premium board. The custom keycaps give it a personal look. That makes it a fun pick for a dorm desk, a first gaming setup or a gift for someone who likes to tinker.
What should I know before buying an unbranded clicky mechanical keyboard?
The title doesn't name a brand, switch model, layout or connection type. The photos and description are your best source, so read them carefully.
- Layout: count the keys in the photos. Does it have a number pad, or is it a compact board?
- Connection: check whether it's wired or wireless and which cable or receiver comes with it.
- Custom keys: make sure every keycap is present, including the spacebar and modifier keys.
- Noise: clicky switches are loud, which matters in shared rooms.
