About this item
Business laptops take a beating in bags and on commutes. An HP ProBook 450 G8 palmrest with backlit keyboard is the fix when the top case cracks or keys stop responding. This new part, M21742-001, is also listed for the ProBook 455 G8 and sells for $343.33.
Will part M21742-001 fit my ProBook 450 G8 or 455 G8?
The most reliable check is the spare part number on the service label or on the old palmrest itself. If it reads M21742-001, you're on the right track.
- Confirm you need the backlit version, since non-backlit units may use a different part.
- Check the keyboard language in the photos, because the title doesn't state it.
- See whether the touchpad and cables come attached.
- IT teams with fleets can ask about multiple units.
