Is an open box 45-inch OLED gaming monitor a smart buy?
It can be, as long as the panel checks out. With an OLED screen, look carefully at its condition before you commit.
- Panel condition: look for photos of the screen powered on, and ask about burn-in or dead pixels.
- Accessories: confirm the stand, power supply and cables are included.
- GPU power: 5K2K at 165Hz needs a high-end graphics card.
- Desk space: a 45-inch display needs a wide, deep desk.
