What should I check on an open-box Ryzen 9 9950X3D?
Processors are delicate, and open box can mean it was installed before. Zoom in on the seller's photos of the chip and packaging.
- Look for clean contact pads with no scratches or thermal paste residue.
- Confirm the model name printed on the chip matches the title.
- Make sure your AM5 motherboard supports this CPU, including the BIOS version.
- Budget for a capable cooler, since the title doesn't mention one.
A chip with this many threads handles streaming, 3D work and heavy multitasking well. Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
