About this item
This Lenovo ThinkStation P520 workstation has a Xeon W2133, 32GB RAM, a 1.5TB NVMe drive for fast work files, a 2TB HDD for archives and a P620 graphics card. At $495.00 open box, you get a lot of memory and storage for CAD, photo work or a home lab.
Is a ThinkStation P520 with P620 graphics right for CAD and creative work?
It works well for 2D and 3D design, photo editing and office setups with several monitors. The P620 is an entry-level workstation card, so heavy 3D rendering or modern gaming will need a better one.
- Operating system: the title doesn't name one, so check whether Windows is installed and licensed.
- Storage layout: find out what drive or drives make up the 1.5TB NVMe.
- Memory: check how the 32GB is configured, which matters if you plan to add more.
- Accessories: make sure the power cord and any display adapters are included.
A strong budget choice for engineers, designers and homelab builders.
