For many office workers and writers it can be, as long as the listing details match your needs. Certified refurbished items are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, but read the seller's notes closely.

• Connection: the title says wireless. Check the listing for which receiver or pairing method is included.
• Wrist rest: look at the photos for wear or marks on the rest surface.
• Layout: a split ergonomic keyboard takes some adjustment if you're used to a flat board.
• Compatibility: confirm your operating system is supported in the description.

A sensible pick for a home office or a long-hours desk setup.
