About this item
Retro gamers chasing an authentic period look will see the appeal of a vintage 17-inch CRT monitor. This Compaq FS7600e has a flat screen face and is listed as open box at $350. The seller's title also calls it new.
Why buy a Compaq FS7600e CRT for retro gaming?
Many older games and systems were designed with CRT displays in mind. A 17-inch flat-face tube suits a period-correct Windows 98 or XP build, or a dedicated retro gaming corner.
- Input: confirm the connector type and whether a cable is attached or included.
- Tube health: ask for photos of the screen powered on, showing brightness, color and geometry.
- Packing: CRTs are heavy and fragile, so ask how it will be packed.
- Resolutions: check the supported modes in the listing.
