About this item
Open-box buyers hunting for a powerful small desktop should look closely at this Minisforum UM890 Pro mini PC. It has an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and a 32GB + 1TB configuration for $799. That is enough for coding, photo editing, heavy browser sessions or a home lab, all without a full tower.
Is an open-box Minisforum UM890 Pro worth it?
It can be, as long as the seller clearly explains the condition. Open box can mean anything from a resealed carton to light use.
- Configuration: the title doesn't say which number is which, so confirm that 32GB is RAM and 1TB is SSD storage.
- Operating system: no OS is listed, so check whether Windows is installed and activated.
- Accessories: make sure the power adapter is included.
- Photos: zoom in to look for scuffs, and check every port.
