About this item
Big screens and fast panels are the draw with the HP Omen 17 gaming laptop: this listing pairs a QHD 240Hz display with a Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, RTX 5070 graphics, 32GB and a 1TB drive. Listed new at $1,330, it's a desktop-replacement option for gamers who rarely unplug.
Is a 240Hz QHD gaming laptop worth it?
If you play shooters or racing games, a high refresh rate makes motion look smoother, and QHD adds sharpness over standard full HD. The RTX 5070 is there to push those frames.
- Memory: confirm the 32GB is system RAM and how it's configured.
- Portability: a 17-inch class laptop is heavier to carry, so check the weight in the specs.
- Storage: 1TB holds a reasonable game library; ask about spare drive slots.
- Charger: gaming laptops depend on their power adapter, so make sure it's included.
