About this item
This new TKL gaming keyboard with 87 keys is made for tinkerers. The listing names QMK programmable firmware, RGB backlighting and a hot-swappable design, all for $74.99. No brand is shown, so judge it on the specs and the seller's details.
Why does a QMK hot-swappable keyboard matter?
QMK lets you remap keys and set up layers and macros. Hot-swap means you can usually pull out and replace switches without soldering, so you can change how it feels later.
- Check which switch type is fitted. The title doesn't say.
- Confirm whether it's wired, wireless or both, because the connection isn't listed.
- Look at the photos for the keycap material and legends.
- Ask whether a keycap or switch puller is included.
A good choice for gamers and hobbyists who want an 87-key tenkeyless layout they can customize, and it leaves more room for the mouse than a full-size board.
