About this item
Engineers, architects and 3D artists searching for a Dell Precision 7740 mobile workstation will find a strong configuration here: an Intel i9-9980HK, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics, listed as New at $900.
Why choose a Quadro RTX 3000 workstation over a gaming laptop?
Professional GPUs like the Quadro line are aimed at CAD, simulation and rendering software rather than games. If your work depends on those apps, that focus matters more than raw frame rates.
- Platform age: the i9-9980HK is an older-generation chip, so a New label deserves a close read of the description and photos.
- Operating system: not stated in the title; confirm what's installed and licensed.
- Screen: check size and resolution in the listing.
- Power: verify the charger is included, since workstations need a capable adapter.
