About this item
The Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, model A2449, brings fingerprint sign-in to your desk so you can unlock your Mac without typing a password. This white wireless keyboard suits office setups, students with a Mac desktop, or a MacBook connected to an external display. It's listed open box at $64.99.
Does the A2449 Touch ID keyboard work with every Mac?
No. Touch ID on this keyboard needs a Mac with Apple silicon. Other Macs can still use it for typing, but fingerprint unlock won't work, so check your Mac's chip first.
- Find the A2449 model number on the underside in the photos.
- Ask whether a charging cable is included.
- Check the keys and the Touch ID button for wear or shine.
- Look for discoloration on the white keycaps.
