About this item
A mini dual band USB WiFi adapter is one of the cheapest ways to add wireless to a desktop PC or replace a laptop's failing card. This new 600Mbps model is listed at $2.25 and covers both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under the 802.11ac standard.
Will this USB WiFi adapter work with my computer?
Compatibility mostly comes down to drivers. The title doesn't name any supported operating systems, so check the listing for Windows, macOS or Linux support and for any mention of a driver disc or download.
- 5GHz band: useful on crowded networks in dorms and apartments.
- Real-world speed: 600Mbps is the rated maximum. Actual speed depends on your router, distance and USB port.
- Compact design: a mini dongle suits laptops that travel. Check the photos for the size and antenna style.
- Chipset: look for it in the description if you need Linux support.
