About this item
The headline on this open-box HP Pavilion 17 laptop is its 32GB of RAM, and it's listed at $650. Add a Ryzen 5 processor, a 1TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro, and you get a big-screen laptop for heavy multitaskers, students juggling many browser tabs and anyone who prefers a 17-inch display.
What should you check on an open-box HP Pavilion 17?
Open box can mean anything from a customer return to a display unit, so the seller's notes matter more than the label.
- Screen: look for photos of the display powered on to spot marks or dead pixels.
- Charger: confirm the adapter is in the box.
- Battery: if battery health isn't mentioned, ask the seller.
- Ryzen generation: the title says Ryzen 5 without a model number, so check the exact CPU.
