About this item
If you want to stream or record console gameplay, the Elgato 4K X is an external game capture card that brings your console's video into a PC or laptop. From there you can stream, record and edit. The word Superspeed in the title points to a fast USB connection, so make sure your computer has a matching port. It's open box at $179.99.
What should I check on an open box Elgato 4K X capture card?
Mostly the accessories. A capture setup only works with the right cables, and open box units sometimes arrive without them.
- Cables: confirm that the cables shown in the photos are part of the sale.
- Physical condition: look for scuffs, cracks or damaged ports.
- Your computer: make sure your PC or laptop can handle 4K recording and streaming software.
- Testing: ask whether the seller checked that it records properly.
