Is the Intel NUC5PPYB a good board for DIY projects?

For low-power, always-on tasks it's an affordable starting point. Since it's sold as a board, expect to supply your own enclosure, memory and storage unless the listing says otherwise.

• What's included: check if it's the bare board or comes with a case, heatsink or I/O shield.
• Power: confirm whether a power adapter is included.
• Memory: check the listing or Intel's documentation for compatible RAM before buying.
• Photos: look closely at the connectors and pins for damage.
