About this item
The MCHOSE Mix87 Hall Effect gaming keyboard uses magnetic switches, which competitive players often look for. It's wired, has RGB lighting and is listed new at $67.99. That's a fairly low-cost way for gamers to try a magnetic switch keyboard without a big spend.
Why choose a Hall Effect magnetic switch keyboard?
Magnetic switches sense key travel with magnets instead of physical contacts, which is why fast-game players like them. How much you can tune them depends on the keyboard's software, so look in the listing for what it supports.
- Layout: the 87 in the name suggests a tenkeyless layout, so confirm it in the photos.
- Cable: check the connector type and whether the cable detaches.
- Software: look for any mention of actuation or rapid trigger settings.
- Keycaps: make sure the key legends match your language and region.
