About this item
Big-screen gamers who want sharper detail than 1080p without paying for 4K should consider the ASUS TUF Gaming 31.5-inch 1440p HDR monitor, model VG32AQA1A. It runs QHD 2560 x 1440 at up to 170Hz and is listed new for $183.99.
Is a 31.5-inch 1440p 170Hz monitor good for gaming and work?
It is for most people. QHD at this size gives more workspace than 1080p, and 170Hz keeps fast shooters and racing games smooth if your GPU can push the frames.
- Graphics card: make sure yours can drive 1440p at high frame rates.
- Cables: check which video cables come in the box.
- Desk depth: measure first, because a 31.5-inch panel needs room.
- Panel details: panel type, curve and stand adjustments aren't in the title, so read the listing.
