About this item
The Dell OptiPlex 7040 i7-6700T desktop is a budget-friendly route into a Core i7 machine, listed open box at $219.19 with 8GB RAM, a 128GB SSD and Intel HD Graphics 530 in black.
Is a Dell OptiPlex 7040 i7 still worth buying?
As a second PC, a student's homework machine or a small-office workstation, it can be a sensible value. The i7-6700T is an older 6th-gen chip, so check Windows 11 compatibility if you need the latest OS.
- Storage: 128GB is small; an extra drive or external storage helps.
- Memory: 8GB covers basics; ask about free slots for upgrades.
- Graphics: HD Graphics 530 is for display output and light media, not gaming.
- Power: confirm the power adapter or cord is included.
