About this item
Photographers, video editors and students juggling big project folders often outgrow a laptop's internal drive. The Crucial X9 1TB portable SSD, model CT1000X9SSD9, lists 1050MB/s speeds and is listed new at $135.
Will I get 1050MB/s from this external SSD?
Only through a port and cable fast enough to carry it. Older or slower USB ports will cap transfer speeds, so check what your computer offers.
- Cable: confirm which cable is included and whether it fits your laptop's ports.
- Formatting: you may need to reformat the drive for Mac or Windows.
- Uses: backups, game libraries and moving footage between machines.
- New condition: look for packaging photos showing the matching model number.
A 1TB external solid state drive is a practical step up from carrying a spinning hard drive in your bag. The purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
