About this item
The LG UltraGear 27-inch dual mode monitor is aimed at competitive esports players. It switches between QHD 1440p at 540Hz and Full HD at 720Hz. With AMD FreeSync and a new-condition price of $1,178.10, it's a specialist screen for shooters and other fast games rather than a general office display.
What does dual mode mean on a 540Hz/720Hz gaming monitor?
You choose between sharper 1440p at 540Hz or 1080p at an even faster 720Hz. In other words, you trade detail for smoother motion depending on the game.
- Frame rates: you'll only see the benefit if your GPU and CPU can produce hundreds of frames per second.
- Connection: confirm which port and cable the listing says you need for the top refresh rates.
- Panel type: the title doesn't state it, so check the description.
- Model number: get it from the listing to compare specs.
