About this item
A sealed Apple Mac Mini Mid-2011 (model A1347) is an unusual find for collectors, vintage Mac fans and anyone building a retro setup. This one lists a 2.3GHz Core i5, 2GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive for $188.
Is a Mid-2011 Mac Mini with 2GB RAM still usable today?
For modern web browsing and current apps, 2GB is very limited, and older Macs stop receiving the newest macOS updates. Its real appeal is as a sealed collectible or a dedicated machine for older software.
- Seal condition: ask for close-up photos of the box and wrap.
- Original software: check which macOS version the listing says it comes with.
- Storage: the 500GB drive is an HDD, which is slower than an SSD.
- Opening it: breaking the seal may affect value if you plan to resell.
