About this item
Built around an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G at 4.2GHz with Radeon 780M integrated graphics and 32GB of RAM, this Minisforum MS-A1 desktop is sold open box for $600. Note the title's warning: it comes with no SSD.
What do you need to add to a Minisforum MS-A1 with no SSD?
At minimum, a storage drive and an operating system, since there's nothing to boot from out of the box. Check the listing for the drive type and size the unit accepts, then budget for both on top of the price.
- Home lab and office: a Ryzen 7 with 32GB suits virtualization, home servers and everyday desktop work.
- Light gaming: Radeon 780M graphics can handle older or less demanding titles at modest settings.
- Power supply: confirm the adapter is included with this open-box unit.
- Condition: read the notes on any prior use.
