About this item
Overclockers and console modders who want every possible degree of cooling look at liquid metal. This PolarTronix liquid metal thermal compound comes in a 1 gram size, is listed new at $12.49, and the title names CPU, GPU and PS5 extreme cooling as its uses.
Is PolarTronix liquid metal safe for a PS5 or GPU repaste?
It can be done, but it takes more care than regular paste. Liquid metal compounds are generally electrically conductive, so any spill near nearby components is a real risk.
- Know your surfaces: check whether your cooler's contact plate is a material that's compatible with liquid metal.
- Insulate: protect the small components around the die before you apply it.
- Check the listing: see if applicators or cleaning swabs are included with the 1 gram tube.
- Buyer cover: the eBay Money Back Guarantee applies.
If you're a first-time builder, regular paste is the safer option.
