About this item
If you're looking for a Dell OptiPlex 3000 thin client for IT work or a home project, this open-box unit is listed at $130. It has an Intel Pentium Silver N6005, 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Thin clients are built to connect to remote desktops and cloud apps rather than run heavy software locally.
Can a Dell OptiPlex 3000 thin client work as a regular PC?
It can handle browsing and basic office tasks, but 64GB of storage fills quickly. It works best for VDI, Citrix or RDP sessions, digital signage, kiosks and lightweight Linux projects.
- Operating system: thin clients may ship with ThinOS, Windows IoT or no OS at all. Confirm which one this has.
- Storage: 64GB is tight for Windows updates and apps.
- Power supply: check that the adapter is included.
- Open box: read the condition notes for signs of prior use or wear.
