About this item
A 110-pack of Cherry MX Silent Black switches is enough for a full-size mechanical keyboard with a few spares, and this open-box lot costs $40. It suits builders who want a quieter keyboard for shared offices or late-night gaming.
Will Cherry MX Silent Black switches fit my keyboard?
They use the MX-style stem, so MX-compatible keycaps fit them. How easy they are to install depends on your board. On a hot-swap board you press them straight in, while a soldered board needs desoldering first.
- Check the listing for 3-pin or 5-pin switches and make sure they match your board.
- Confirm the count, since open-box lots can be short.
- Look for bent pins in the photos.
- Ask whether any of the switches were installed or lubed before.
