About this item
A 96% wireless aluminum mechanical keyboard like this one keeps nearly all the keys of a full-size board, number pad included, in a tighter footprint. It's listed new at $147.21 with RGB lighting and hot-swap sockets, so you can change switches without soldering. That mix suits office work with numbers as well as evening gaming.
Is a 96% hot-swap keyboard a good middle ground?
For many desks, yes: you keep the numpad but free up mouse space. Just confirm the details the title leaves out.
- Switches: which ones come installed, and whether 3-pin or 5-pin fit.
- Wireless: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz dongle or both, plus wired USB.
- Battery: check the listed capacity and charging cable.
- Layout: confirm language and arrow key placement in photos.
