About this item
If quiet, smooth typing is your priority, this Keychron K7 wireless mechanical keyboard (model K7A1) pairs Gateron Red switches with a white backlight. Red switches are linear, so keys press straight down without a bump or click, a feel many people like for both long typing sessions and fast gaming inputs. It's an open box unit priced at $59.99.
Is the Keychron K7 with red switches good for office work?
For most people, yes. Linear switches are generally quieter than clicky ones, which helps in shared offices, dorms and on video calls.
- Check whether a USB cable is included and ask how the board is powered.
- Ask how long the previous owner used it.
- Look at photos for missing or shiny keycaps.
- Confirm the white backlight works on all keys.
A solid choice for students and remote workers who want a wireless mechanical board without a big spend.
