About this item
Need a simple, compact laptop for homework and web browsing? This new Acer Chromebook 11.6-inch notebook runs Chrome OS on an Intel N100 processor, comes in black and costs $355. The small screen makes it easy to carry in a backpack, which suits kids, students and anyone who mostly uses a browser, Google Docs and streaming apps.
What should I check before buying an Acer Chromebook with an Intel N100?
The title leaves out memory and storage, so confirm those first.
- RAM and storage: look in the item specifics for both figures.
- Update support: check the Chromebook's Auto Update Expiration date so you know how long it gets updates.
- Touch or not: confirm whether the screen is a touchscreen.
- Charger: make sure a power adapter is included.
For a first school laptop, these checks matter more than raw speed.
