About this item
For anyone stretching the life of an AM4 build, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X is a common drop-in upgrade choice with 8 cores, 16 threads and a 3.4 GHz clock. It is unlocked for overclocking and listed new as an OEM tray chip at $148.99, a good fit for gaming, streaming and everyday multitasking.
What does OEM tray mean for a Ryzen 7 5700X?
Tray processors usually ship as the bare chip without retail packaging or a cooler. Read the listing to see exactly what is included.
- Cooling: budget for a CPU cooler and thermal paste if none is included.
- BIOS: older AM4 motherboards may need a BIOS update first, so check your board maker's support list.
- Pins: check the photos and ask how the chip is packed to protect its pins.
