About this item
The GMKtec K8 Plus barebones mini PC is for builders. You get an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and an OCuLink port, but no RAM and no SSD, for $439.99 new. That lets you choose your own memory and storage, and the listing title pitches it as a gaming mini PC.
What do you need to finish a GMKtec K8 Plus barebones build?
At minimum, you need memory, an SSD and an operating system. Check the listing for the supported memory and drive types, and match them exactly.
- OCuLink: this port is commonly used to attach an external graphics dock for more gaming power. Check dock compatibility first.
- No OS: without an SSD, there's no operating system included. Budget for a Windows license or plan a Linux install.
- Real cost: add your RAM and SSD prices to the $439.99 when comparing with ready-to-run mini PCs.
- Included: confirm the power adapter is in the box.
