About this item
Homelab builders and tinkerers looking for a MinisForum MS-01 mini workstation can start with this barebones kit. It's open box, has an Intel i5-12600H processor, and sells for $470. The title states there's no memory, no NVMe drive and no operating system.
What do I need to add to a barebones MS-01?
You'll need to buy RAM, at least one NVMe SSD and an operating system, whether that's a Windows license or a free Linux distribution. Check which memory type and drive sizes the MS-01 supports before ordering parts.
- Total cost: add your RAM and SSD costs to the $470 to compare it with prebuilt mini PCs.
- Good uses: home servers, virtualization labs, a compact office desktop or network projects.
- Open box: confirm the power adapter is included and read the condition notes.
- Protection: covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
