What do I need to pair with a Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU?

Start with the motherboard. The title doesn't name the socket, so confirm it in the listing and choose a compatible board with a supporting BIOS version.

• Cooler: check whether a cooler is included, and budget for one if it isn't.
• Memory: look up the supported RAM type for the board you pick.
• Packaging: the photos should show whether it's a retail box or a tray chip.
• Labels: look for a clear photo of the chip or the box label.
