About this item
A DVI UTP extender kit lets you put a DVI display farther from its computer by sending the signal over twisted-pair network cable. This open-box set includes a transmitter and a receiver for $59.99. It's useful for digital signage, reception screens, classroom projectors and control rooms where a long DVI cable isn't practical.
How far can a DVI UTP extender reach?
The title doesn't say. Check the listing for the rated distance and which cable category it needs before you plan your setup.
- Power: confirm whether power adapters are included for both units.
- Resolution: look for the maximum supported resolution.
- Extra signals: check whether audio or USB passes through or only video.
- Open-box condition: check the photos for bent pins or damaged connectors.
