About this item
The GMKtec M7 Ultra mini PC packs a Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U, 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB SSD into a compact desktop. It's listed new at $649.99. The Oculink connection in the title is the interesting extra, because many buyers use Oculink to connect an external GPU.
Is the GMKtec M7 Ultra a good mini PC for gaming?
The listing doesn't mention a dedicated graphics card, so on its own the PC is best for lighter games, emulation and esports titles. An external graphics card over Oculink can raise that ceiling if your dock and GPU are compatible.
- Ports: Check the listing for the display outputs and the number of USB ports.
- Operating system: Confirm which operating system is installed and whether it's activated.
- Upgrades: Ask whether the RAM and SSD can be replaced by the user.
- Work use: 32GB of RAM also handles heavy multitasking and home lab tasks.
