About this item
Budget-minded buyers who want one small box for work and casual play should look at the GMKtec M8 mini PC, which runs a Ryzen 5 Pro 6650H with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and WiFi 6E.
Is the GMKtec M8 mini PC good for gaming?
It's marketed for gaming, but no separate graphics card is listed, so think esports titles, older games and emulation at modest settings rather than the latest blockbusters.
- Memory is LPDDR5: this type is usually soldered, so treat 16GB as final.
- Storage: 512GB fills quickly with games; check whether there's a spare drive slot.
- Connectivity: WiFi 6E helps on newer routers; confirm port count for monitors and USB devices.
- OS: verify which operating system is preinstalled.
