About this item
Most Chromebooks run modest chips, but the ASUS Chromebook CX3401FB steps up to an Intel Core i5-1235U with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. With a 14 inch screen and Chrome OS, it targets business users and power users who live in the browser and Google Workspace.
Why pick an i5 Chromebook with 16GB RAM over a Windows laptop?
Chrome OS is simple to manage, updates automatically and stays quick with dozens of tabs open. If you rely on desktop-only Windows software, a Windows machine is the safer choice.
- Storage: 256GB is generous for a Chromebook, though cloud storage still handles most files.
- Update support: look up this model's auto-update expiration date on Google's support pages.
- Screen: confirm the resolution and whether it's a touchscreen in the listing.
- Price check: at $849.99, compare it against Windows laptops with similar specs.
