About this item
Builders who like small machines often search for an ASRock DeskMini X300 barebone mini PC, and this X300W/2.5G version is listed new at $183.05. It uses the AMD X300 chipset with an AM4 socket. That gives you a compact shell to fill with your own parts for a home-office box, a home theater PC or a light gaming rig.
What do I need to finish a DeskMini X300W build?
As a barebone system, it typically comes without a processor, memory or storage. Read the description to see exactly what is included.
- CPU: pick an AM4 chip and check ASRock's support list for compatibility.
- Memory and drives: confirm the RAM type and storage slots the unit accepts.
- Cooler and power: verify whether a CPU cooler and power adapter are in the box.
- Networking: the 2.5G in the name suggests faster wired LAN, so confirm it in the specs.
