About this item
For simple tasks on a tight budget, the Minisforum U500-H mini PC pairs an Intel Core i3-5005U at 2.0GHz with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, listed new at $159.99. It suits web browsing, email, document editing, digital signage or a spare kitchen computer.
Is the Minisforum U500-H mini PC fast enough today?
The i3-5005U is an older-generation chip. Expect it to handle light, everyday work well, but it's not built for gaming, video editing or dozens of open tabs. For a kiosk, a kid's homework station or a media player, that can be plenty.
- Storage: 128GB fills up quickly, so plan on cloud or external storage.
- Operating system: check which OS is installed and whether it's licensed.
- Ports and WiFi: confirm the display outputs and wireless support in the listing.
- Box contents: make sure the power adapter is included.
