About this item
Getting into PC gaming without spending flagship money? This open-box HP Victus 15.6-inch gaming laptop (model 15-fa2013dx) pairs an Intel i5-13420H with GeForce RTX 3050 graphics, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for $700.
Can the HP Victus with RTX 3050 handle modern games?
It's an entry-level setup suited to popular esports games and lighter titles at moderate settings. The 8GB of memory is the main limit; many gamers aim for 16GB, so ask whether the RAM can be upgraded.
- Confirm the charger is in the box.
- Check the screen's refresh rate in the listing, since the title doesn't state it.
- Ask about battery wear and fan noise.
- 512GB fills quickly with big games, so budget for extra storage.
