About this item
Shopping on a tight budget? The ASUS VivoBook 14 X1404V laptop costs $229.99 new and comes with an Intel i3-1315U, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 128GB SSD and Windows 11 Home. That's enough for schoolwork, web apps, email and streaming, which makes it a sensible first laptop or backup machine.
Is 128GB of storage enough on a budget 14-inch laptop?
It's enough if you keep files in the cloud. Windows updates and apps use up space quickly, so plan on a USB drive or cloud storage for photos and videos.
- Check the screen resolution in the description.
- Make sure the charger is included and the box is sealed.
- Ask whether the RAM or storage can be upgraded.
- Look up ports if you use a mouse, USB drive or external monitor.
It's best for light tasks. Gamers and video editors will want more power.
