About this item
The Tangent Rugged Mini QBIT is a niche find. This open-box unit lists an Intel i5-3427U, 8GB RAM, a 60GB mSATA drive, WiFi and Windows 7 Pro for $495.00. That combination points to buyers maintaining older systems: legacy software, equipment that expects Windows 7, or a fleet where matching hardware matters more than new specs.
Who should buy a Windows 7 Pro rugged mini PC today?
Mainly IT teams and specialists who need compatibility with older programs. For general home or school use, a newer desktop is usually a better value.
- Security: Windows 7 no longer gets Microsoft updates, so plan network use carefully.
- Storage: 60GB is tight, so check free space in the listing.
- Rugged details: check the description for what 'rugged' covers on this unit.
- Power supply: make sure an adapter is included.
