About this item
This Valve Steam Machine 512GB and controller listing is for a confirmed reservation. The seller does not have the hardware on hand yet. It suits PC gamers who want a living-room Steam setup and would rather not wait for their own order. It does call for more homework than a typical purchase.
How does buying a Steam Machine reservation work?
The listing doesn't explain the handoff. Ask the seller how and when you will actually receive the hardware.
- Transfer method: find out whether the seller will ship the unit after it arrives or transfer the reservation itself. Also ask whether the reservation is tied to an account.
- Timing: ask for the expected ship date the seller was given.
- What's included: confirm it is the 512GB model with the controller bundled.
- Price check: compare the $1,550 asking price against the official retail price before committing.
