About this item
This HP ProDesk 405 G8 mini barebone is a low-cost starting point for anyone building a compact AMD office PC from parts. It comes with no CPU, no RAM and no hard drive, so at this open-box price you're essentially buying the chassis and board to fill yourself.
What parts does an HP ProDesk 405 G8 barebone need?
You'll need a compatible AMD processor, memory and a storage drive, plus an operating system. Look up HP's official specifications for supported CPUs and memory before buying anything, because not every chip will work.
- Cooling: check whether the CPU cooler and fan are still installed.
- Power: confirm a power adapter is included; barebones often omit it.
- Cosmetics: review photos for dents, missing covers or screws.
- Value check: add up parts costs and compare with complete used mini PCs.
