About this item
Durock Ice King tactile switches that arrive already hand lubed and filmed can save custom keyboard builders an evening of tedious prep. These are new and listed at $106, so first make sure you know how many switches that price buys.
Are pre-lubed and filmed tactile switches worth paying extra for?
Buying them prepared can be the easier path if you don't own a switch opener, lube and films, or simply don't want to do the work. Tactile switches give a bump on each press, a feel many typists like.
- Quantity: check how many switches are included and match that to your board's key count.
- Lube and film details: look in the description for which lube and films were used.
- Pins: confirm the pin count fits your PCB.
- Hot-swap: make sure your keyboard accepts these switches before ordering.
