About this item
This Acer Spin 5 convertible laptop wraps a 13.3" touchscreen around an i5-8265U processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The title also lists Windows 10 Pro and a fingerprint reader. Sold as new at $399.98, it fits office work and travel, as well as students who want tablet mode for notes.
Is an i5-8265U Acer Spin 5 still worth it?
The chip handles email, spreadsheets and streaming well, though it's an older generation. Windows 10 no longer gets mainstream updates, so factor in an upgrade to Windows 11.
- Ask about battery condition, since this is an older model.
- Check that the charger is in the box.
- Ask whether a stylus is included if you plan to draw or annotate.
- Check the storage type in the description, since the title only says 256G.
