About this item
An open-box ASUS ROG Strix G18 gaming laptop listed at $1,798 is a chance to get a big-screen gaming setup without paying the price of a sealed unit. The specs are serious: an 18-inch 2.5K display at 240Hz with a 3ms response, an Intel Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and an RTX 5060, running Windows 11 Home.
Is an open-box ROG Strix G18 a smart buy?
It can be, as long as the condition notes are clear. Open box can mean anything from unused to lightly handled.
- Charger: confirm that the power adapter is included, since gaming laptops need theirs.
- Screen: ask about dead pixels or marks on the 18-inch panel.
- Activation: check that Windows 11 Home is set up and ready to sign in.
- Buyer protection: your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
It's well suited to competitive shooters, high-refresh gaming and streaming.
