About this item
Everyday computing doesn't need a tower. A GMKtec NucBox mini PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U makes that case for $225.00. It's listed as new, though the title names only the processor.
Is the Ryzen 5 3500U fast enough for a home or office mini PC?
The 3500U is an older laptop-class chip. It suits web browsing, documents, video calls and streaming. Heavy video editing or modern gaming will push it past its comfort zone.
- Memory and storage: the title lists neither. Confirm the amounts in the item specifics.
- Price check: once you know the RAM and SSD, compare against newer budget mini PCs.
- Operating system: verify whether Windows comes installed and activated.
- Setup: confirm the power adapter is in the box and check the photos for display ports.
A fit for parents, retirees and secondary workstations.
