About this item
Small builds need small screens, and this 7-inch portable HDMI monitor with an 800x480 IPS display is sold new for $57.99. It's pitched at Raspberry Pi users and gaming setups. Good uses include retro handheld builds, a status panel for a home server, a camera field monitor or a compact debug screen on your workbench.
Is 800x480 enough for a Raspberry Pi screen?
It works for dashboards, terminals, emulators and simple control panels. For a full desktop with web browsing, text gets cramped quickly.
- Power: check how the display is powered and whether a cable is included.
- Touch: the title doesn't mention touch input, so don't assume it has it.
- Cables: confirm the HDMI connector size matches your board.
- Mounting: look for a stand or mounting holes in the photos.
